Next Project

The popular Japanese café « Excelsior Café » opened in a new location in November 2010 with a new brand concept - including strategy, interior, furnishings and logo - designed by Claudio Colucci. To meet the challenges of this exceptional project, Colucci developed a fresh new identity for this latest evolution of Excelsior cafes while also staying true to the company’s original design sensibility.

To accomplish this, Colucci used a mosaic of colors and materials to express feelings of comfort and warmth. The Café visitors step in a dream-like interpretation of what Colucci calls the « café spirit »; a design that was inspired in part by Serge Gainsbourg’s « Couleur Café ».
